Al Gore’s 10,000 square foot home reportedly consumed 191,000 kilowatt hours of electricity in 2006.
The average Tennessee home consumes only 15,600 kilowatt hours in a year.
This is definitely one for the Republican’s quiver.
However, I view it a bit differently. It’s like this. As someone who helps companies recycle, those projects have a heck of a lot more impact than the recycling Anke and I do at home.
So I don’t sweat it, when I occasionally chuck a plastic container or can in the trash.
By the same reasoning, Old Al has definitely earned the right to burn up all that extra energy, don’t you think?
The good news is that Gore signed up for the Green Power Switch program through the TVA, so he is using renewable energy. Reportedly, solar panels are being installed as well.
